Sledding and Snowmen

Taking advantage of the recent snow, Logan and his Dad went to the park for some sledding and snowman building.

 Logan says the big snowman is Santa and the small one is one of his elves.  A photographer for the Times came by and took Logan's picture with his snowmen:

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Visited family in Fort Wayne on the 23rd. This evening, we celebrated with my parents and wrestled Logan through the Christmas Eve service at the VU chapel.

Logan's only request for Christmas was "a trailer with a truck". So he's getting quite a few.

Logan's response to the news that Santa was coming to bring presents tonight: "I will wake up and see him, put on my Mater slippers and give him a hug." We've been reading The Night Before Christmas every night for about 3 weeks now. I think I've got most of it memorized. His other favorites right now are the Grinch Who Stole Christmas (book and movie), Mater's Tall Tales, and anything Richard Scary's Busytown.

The First Week Home

Seeing as my Maternity Leave is almost over, I thought I would post some photos from the last few months.  All of these photos are from our first week home.

These photos along with the first black and white photo were from a little photo session we had.  Many photos were taken and most of them were pretty bad.  He was very tiny and wrinkly for the first few weeks (or months) and wasn't too keen on artistic photos.

Logan shares his Birthday

On Sunday, October 16th, we had planned on celebrating Logan's 3rd birthday. Liam had other plans and decided it was the day he was going to be born... Liam was 4 weeks early, 6 lbs 2oz and 19".




Liam spent some time with us in the recovery room, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Ben and Logan came to visit. Grandma brought along Logan's birthday presents so he could open them. While getting cleaned up in the nursery, Liam had some rapid breathing so he was sent over to the NICU where they could monitor him more closely.








Liam spent a night and day in the NICU. His breathing improved, blood oxygen levels stayed up, and he showed he could eat so then he was cleared to go back with us.






We all got to go home on Tuesday. Grandma had to run to the store to buy a smaller outfit for Liam to go home in. The outfit that Robin had packed for Liam to come home in was too big.



Tuesday night we decided Logan should have his cake. Robin had made a giant cupcake carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Logan's favorite part was the alligator candle holder. "Rarrr!"
